The Breathalyser industry has started to become flooded with all different kinds of Smartphone compatible breath test units. Some are quite feature packed and have the mechanics to get you a highly accurate reading, some on the other hand are nothing but cheap inferior products that are more likely to give you a false reading than useful analysis. Either way, no matter what your requirements, there is sure to be a breathalyser available that suits your needs.

The product which will be the focus of this review is the Alcovisor Click Breathalyser which is compatible with both iPhone and Android mobile phones. So how did the Alcovisor Click perform? Read on to find out more.

Features

The Alcovisor Click certainly packs a heap of features into what is a very small package. Coming in at just under 24 grams the device is ultra-light and won’t feel out of place in your pocket. This is very handy if you are looking for an ultra-portable device that you can take to parties, cruises, weddings etc..

Given its small size and ultra-light weight you could be excused for thinking the device would give poor quality readings but you would be wrong. It features the latest fuel-cell technology and results are displayed on its easy to read screen in around 4 seconds.

The main feature we liked most was the ease of sourcing and installing the Alcovisor App which can be found on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

As a ‘nice to have’ the device ships in white, black and purple so take your pick and grab one that suits your personal preference.

Usability

This is really one of the Alcovisor Click’s strengths. It is one of the easiest to use breathalysers we have come across. It snaps on easy to any Android or iPhone mobile phone and downloading and using the App is an absolute breeze. There are no tricky menus to navigate, no fiddly buttons and the screen display is as good as you get from a mobile phone. This one really does tick all the boxes and if we need to give a rating out of 5 stars for usability it would get a full 5.

Summary

This is one impressive breathalyser. It is ultra light, compact, easy to use and the retail pricing is very attractive as well. If you want an ultra protable breath test unit to read your alcohol levels whilst you are out and about then this is the device for you. You won’t be disappointed with its accuracy and overall good performance. The Alcovisor Click gets our thumbs up!
